What did you do this past week?

This past week my parents came down to austin to visit me. We had a pretty great time since they have never been able to fully explore the city before. I also started working on Darwin with my partner this week. We made pretty good progress in my opinion so far, so hopefully we can keep it up

What’s in your way?

Earlier this week my partner and I ran into a nasty compiling issue that related to linking various hpp and cpp files. It took us a couple of hours to do it, but we finally were able to get our files to link.

What will you do next week?

I don’t have any plans as of yet besides school, clubs, and making sure to live a healthy lifestyle. I will also continue working on the Darwin project.

What did you think of Paper 11. More getters and setters? I

Honestly, it was really difficult to read because I was unable to really understand what was going on with the Builder object. I feel like our course never covered any print end and this is our first array at it which made it more difficult.

What was your experience of std::queue, std::priority_queue, std::set, and friends? (this question will vary, week to week)

I think it is really cool how they are invented and have some very unique properties from itnital decision making.

What made you happy this week?

I didn’t have much to do this week which was nice since it was a break that I really needed. My parents coming down also made me pretty happy since I haven’t seen them for a while.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Have you tried VIM? I don’t want to force it down people throats because VIM has a learning curve. But, now that I use vim I can baserly code without it since I am used to all of the shortcuts.
